Democracy Bridge Collective

The Democracy Bridge Collective is a giving circle founded by Black and Jewish community members to fund the frontline fight for voting rights. We unite donors to identify and fund nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) grassroots organizations doing voter registration, voter protection, and civic education across seven key Southern states.

Voting is the foundation of democracy.

This work has never been more urgent. Two-thirds of Black Americans live in just 15 states, concentrated across the historic Black Belt, the same states now facing the sharpest rollback. This isn't only a Black issue: 20% of Jewish Americans live in the South too, in these same states.

Everyone is a target disenfranchisement effort. History shows us that this is a slippery slope. We have to support each other and act now, because no one is safe when the foundation of democracy is under attack.

Donor engagement is civic engagement. Every gift closes the gap between the organizations doing this work and the resources they need to do it well. Our premise is simple: organizations doing voter registration, voter protection, civic engagement, and civic education shouldn't have to wait months for resources they need now.
